CIF Winter Players of the Year November 5, 2025 Player of the Year: Aileen Shin, Bishop’s A prolific scorer, Shin scored four goals to lead Bishop’s to the San Diego Section Open Division title win over Carlsbad. The Knights finished the season 18-10, but didn’t lose a match to a San Diego Section team all season and finished the season ranked No. 9 in the state. Player of the Year: Emiliano Postlethwaite, St. Augustine A team captain, he scored the game-tying goal against Del Norte in the San Diego Section Open Championship match. He then gave the Saints the lead in PKs as St. Augustine went on to claim the title. The Saints finished the season 19-5-1, and Postlethwaite was named Western League Player of the Year.
